Brand Concept

A board is a place where different things come together — ideas, tools, projects, information, possibilities.

Boarde takes this simple concept and turns it into a digital identity built around organisation, modularity and possibility.

A space where things come together.

The Logo

Two surfaces, one purpose.

The logo represents two simple blocks coming together — different elements, same destination. It's a visual symbol of connection, flexibility, and shared progress.

Better together.

Two elements, unified

Different things, one board.

Simple enough to live everywhere

Clear, versatile, and memorable.

Color

The neutral palette deliberately avoids short-lived technology trends. Boarde doesn't depend on a specific visual trend to feel current — it's built to still look right in a decade. Color supports the identity; it never dominates it. The single accent is used with restraint, so its appearance always signals something meaningful.

Paper
#F6F3ED
Background. Space, openness, possibility — the surface everything else sits on.
Ink
#F6F4EF
Primary. Confidence, focus, clarity — carries the wordmark, primary type, and the front layer of the mark.
Sand
#BFAA97
The one warm note — the full stop, the back layer of the mark, small accents. Used sparingly, so it keeps its weight.
Gray
#918F8F
Secondary. Balance and supporting information — used for captions, labels and secondary copy.
07

Typography

A modern, neutral grotesk. Used for UI, labels, body copy, navigation and functional communication.

A Language of Objects

Every supporting graphic derives from the core logo geometry — layered rectangles, thin lines, small dots, frames and cropped shapes. No unrelated visual motifs are introduced.

The Fold

Where the two surfaces meet. Represents interaction — the moment separate things start to connect.

The Frame

The negative space around both shapes. Represents possibility — what hasn't been placed yet.

09

The Board

A board is not defined by what is already on it. It is defined by what can be placed on it. That idea is the foundation of Boarde — space for ideas, space for tools, space for possibilities. The identity is never allowed to feel rigid or over-engineered. Boarde represents structure with freedom.

STRUCTURE
Ideas,
arranged.
Grids hold the system together. Everything placed on top of them is still free to move.

The Personality

ModularNothing is fixed in place. Every piece of the system — the symbol, the type, the grid — is built to be broken apart and rearranged without losing its logic.
ClearBoarde explains itself before it decorates itself. Complexity gets organised, never hidden behind unnecessary polish.
CuriousThe system asks what could be placed here next, rather than closing off possibilities. It leaves room to explore, not just to execute.
ConfidentQuiet confidence, not loud. Ink, restraint and precise geometry do the talking — there's no need to shout to be taken seriously.
HumanStructure that still feels made by hand. Warm neutrals and generous whitespace, never a sterile, machine-issued grid.
11

Principles

01

Space

Give ideas room.

02

Clarity

Remove unnecessary complexity.

03

Flexibility

Let people create their own structure.

04

Connection

Different things become more useful together.

05

Possibility

Always leave room for what comes next.

12

Logo Usage

DO

Preserve logo proportions

Use whitespace generously

Use neutral colors

DON'T

Stretch or compress

Rotate the symbol

Change the colors arbitrarily

13

Boarde in the Wild

Across every surface, the system stays the same: ink, paper, sand, and the two-square mark, never forced into a shape it wasn't built for.
